The Robert T. Ramsay, Jr. Archival Center at Wabash College holds the Wabash College Archives, which contains college records and publications, historical artifacts and ephemera, and materials documenting student, faculty, staff, and administrator life and work at and relating to Wabash. Holdings include materials that predate Wabash's founding in 1832 and document the life of the College up to the present day. This Archive is added to on a regular basis through transfer of College records and documents from College departments, organizations, and individuals in addition to donations from alumni and associated people.
The holdings of the Robert T. Ramsay, Jr. Archival Center are primarily searchable via the Archives' internally-accessible database. As work continues to allow the public access to search this resource, it currently remains only accessible to Archives staff.
As a starting place for research, patrons may find it helpful to review the following folder-level inventories of a portion of the Archives holdings. These inventories represent only a fraction of the department's holdings (less than 20%) but provide insight into some of the earliest college records and materials (e.g. correspondence, manuscripts, ephemera, etc.) held by the department.
Select materials are available via the Archives' digital collections. See the Digital Collections page for more information and access along with information on the Archives' blogs.
For general questions about the department's holdings or specific inquiries about materials listed in the following inventories, please contact the Archives at archives@wabash.edu or reach out to specific department staff.
The Wabash College faculty meeting minutes are restricted to current students, faculty, and staff of the College. Available indexes of the minutes are provided for access purposes. If a researcher is not a current student, faculty, or staff member of the College, Ramsay Archival Center faculty and staff can provide research assistance or provide limited access. Please contact the Ramsay Archival Center with any questions regarding the faculty meeting minutes or policies.
The following are resource lists of Archives materials pulled for specific Wabash courses. The documents include physical location reference codes, folder titles, and sometimes brief descriptions of folder and item contents relevant to the topic. They are provided here for student and researcher use.
