Office of Global Women’s Issues.  Part of a new State Department website, listed under “Programs and Partnerships,”  provides the means to  identify organizations in countries around the world that are striving to meet the critical needs of women and girls, and boost their economic, political, and social status.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Federal and agency initiatives serving a variety of populations with survey reports and behavioral health resources.

United Nations Development Program and Report  concludes that the achievement of gender equality results in the promotion of human development throughout a society.  Country Profiles and Timely Views of especial interest.

Gateway to the Library of Congress resources for the study of women’s history and culture in the United States.

Legislationline provides access to international norms and standards relating to specific human dimension issues.  Maintained by the OSCE, the world’s largest regional security organization.

Women, Minorities and Persons with Disabilities in Science and Engineering.  Provides statistical information on people in all three groups with regard to education and employment, in the form of a bi-annual digest.
