Fines and Fees
Lost/Damage Materials Charges: We do not charge daily fines for overdue general collection books and media to members of the Wabash community. As a courtesy, when an item becomes overdue, three (3) notices are sent asking for return or renewal of the item. Please note that an overdue item can only be renewed via personal visit to the Library. If after the third notice the item remains overdue, a fourth notice generates a billing fee and a replacement fee. The billing fee and one half of the replacement fee are nonrefundable processing charges.
Student replacement fees are forwarded to the College Business Office each semester and will appear on bills issued by that office.
An overdue fine of $1.00 per hour is charged for overdue Reserves material.
An overdue fine of $.25 per day per item is charged to Montgomery County guest borrowers.
We grant library borrowing privileges to family members of Wabash College faculty and staff, Wabash alumni, faculty and students of other PALNI member institutions, and residents of Montgomery County. Other visitors to campus are welcome to use our facilities but are not eligible for borrowing privileges. The first priority of the Lilly Library is to serve the academic pursuits of the College’s students and faculty. Service to others in the community is offered as a courtesy. The library staff is available to help you with your reference questions, but personal assistance may be limited by our responsibilities to our students and faculty.
Interlibrary Loan services are not avialable to guest borrowers.
Sound recordings, videos, other media, and current periodicals may used in-house only by guest borrowers.
